WEYES BLOOD:
Weyes Blood is Natalie Mering, one-time member of Jackie-O Motherfucker and collaborator with Karl Bauer’s Axolotl, and Nautical Almanac. Playing songs of deep melancholy on organ and guitar, Mering's music stems from an archetypal principle or return to the structure of song, but only in the most elementary sense. Her music has an alliance with the ancient song but blasts it through the sonic elements of ampliphied sound, woven with tape loops and feedbacks, using sound as instrumentation. She brings to mind such female songstresses as Nico and Buffy Saint Marie. After self releasing her first cdr Strange Chalices of Seeing in 2007, Natalie has gone on to release a 7" with Phil Todd's Memoirs of Aesthete imprint entitled Liquor Castle, and an album on Not Not Fun due out in January entitled The Outside Room. The dark juices are a new edition into the melancholy, featuring Nate Nelson of Mouthus/Religious knives ripping up the drums, and Andy Storrs, a seasoned plastic baby, on keys.

Angels In America is two: Moppy Pont and Merv Glisten. Hard copy so far has been a history of self-release and then reissue...their first tape, Cunt Tree Grammer, was re-released on Ecstatic Peace, and their second, Allergic To Latex, on Digitalis Ltd.
Upcoming releases include an album on Ehse Records.
